Hello Gareth et al,
I haven't been following this thread too carefully but not the
mention of Hamer - is there anything more about them in your book?
What do others think about this theory of their origins? Mine seem to
have been largely in Shropshire for some centuries and Michael Hamer
and family crossed into Kerry in the late 1700s. My ggg-grandfather
was Michael's son James born 1783.
