I now have a problem with the 1871 - trying to work out the birthplace of
Thomas Parry at Llyswen Breconshire. Source Citation: Class: RG10; Piece:

Llandewally but looks like Llanderally to me. Can anyone help?

Dear Elvery,

The place-name is actually written 'Llandevally' which is an obsolete
anglicised misspelling of the Breconshire parish Llandyfalle.
See details on the GENUKI Breconshire website at
www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/BRE/Llandyfalle/ where the 1868 National Gazetteer
transcription is particularly informative.

Kind regards,

John
