Pennington List for my comments. Although, I also got some great supporting
comments. I even got a direct email from a gentleman in Texas that gave me
three peoples names that were directly connected to my family line with
Joshua. What a sweetheart he was for helping me. I emailed all three of
them, but haven't heard back from any of them yet.

> It really is true about this Joshua and the two marriages with Ephraim and
Richard as Joshua's father. It just seemed like everywhere I looked, I got
the same information. I have found it on Ancestry.com marriages,
Genealogy.com marriages and also on the WorldConnect. I was extremely
frustrated and sure didn't mean to put everyone on the defensive. I am
willing to do most of the research (and I always share my information) if I
could just find someone to help me look in the right places. I got the
information on Joshua from the PRA site Group 4 as well as Mike Pennington,
so I felt it was solid information. That was until I started researching
the Internet and found so many discrepencies. I don't know where to go to
look for "Wills" since I've checked Ancestry, Genealogy, Rootsweb and
others. I just can't seem to find anything on him. I'm not even sure if he
is the Joshua that I found on the Kentucky Land Grants or the same Joshua
that moved to Illinois, which is wh!

on just Joshua alone for over 9 months and haven't been able to find
anything solid. So please forgive me for sharing my frustration in such an
"untactful" manner. I will try to be more tactful next time.

> Hi, Dianna Fleenor;
> I am Tom Pennington(John Thomas), of Muncie, Indiana.I am not sure that I
descend from Joshua or Ephriam or just who I do descend from. But my great
grandfather was "WILSON PENNINGTON" born Ky. 1809, don't know just where or
to whom. But he lived most of his life in either Monroe co., Ky. or Jackson
co., Tn. Wiith one small exception. He first appeared in the 1840 federal
census in Jackson co., Tn.but I have located him in Illinois in the early
1830's.
> I have worked on this for several decades, and am still no closer to
a closing on it.
> The Penningtons in Wayne county, Illinois in 1830 f/c are Ephriam
age 40-to-50; Daniel Pennington age 20-to-30 and two other Penningtons,
both liiving in the same household, one is named ,"Timothy" and one is
unnamed. One is 20-to-30 and the other is 60-to-70. But I have found no way
to tell which is which. I have information from another source that Wilson
is on a church record in this same area with the same names of people as
these around him. This younger man living in the same house with Timothy is
the same age as my Wilson Pennington. But, is Tmothy the older or younger
man?
> I am in total agreement with you on the idea of making sure that
all information is accurate before it is made public.
> Some time back, someone took the liberty of putting my GGfather
Wilson into a website and making him the son of Simeon Pennington, it
appeared in the Pennington website, I tried to get it changed, to no avail.
And I think it may still be out there. And sadly there is not one shred of
evidence to support it.
> AS I re read your letter, it appears that you may be searching for a
person muuch older than the ones mentioned here.
> Would enjoy hearing from you and hearing your ideas on how to sort
this out. Anyways, thanks for any and all help. Tom Pennington
