Arthur,
I have:
Rev. Jesse Bolling/Bowling born Macron 22, 1758 Hillsboro, Wilkes County,
North Carolina. And died Breathitt County, Kentucky.
He married Mary Elizabeth Pennington who was born November 18, 1765 in "the
Hollow of the Yadkin River.North Carolina," and died March 21, 1842.
Rev. Jesse's father was:
Benjamin "Bolling" Sr. bornJune 30, 1734 in Henrico County, Virginia, and
died January 30, 1832 Lee County, Virginia. [[[[Lee County is where many
Pennington's settled, from North Carolina.]]]]]
Rev. Jesse's mother was:
Martha Patsy Phelps, born abt 1737 and died March 8, 1767.
They had 10 children that I will not attempt to name in this email.
Benjamin's father was John Bolling/Bowling.
Benjamin's mother was Elizabeth Blair
John's father was Robert Bowling who married Jayne Rolfe.
Jayne Rolfe's father was Thomas Rolfe.
Jayne's mother was Jayne Draythress/Praythress.
And then Pocohantas enters in here.
Arthur, I show many, many Bollings, Bowles, and Bowlings in my Tree.
Do any of these names ring a bell with you?
Thanks,
Pat
