I found the same Holloway Prater who m Sarah?? that Gary did, but my records
show he was son of Brice Bazel Prater and Martha Elizabeth Riley who moved
to Wayne Co, Tn from SC sometime before 1820. Holloway's siblings were,
Martin, Andrew,Eliphaz (sone say Elijah), Basil Pitts, Josiah, Isaac, King,
Cassie, Samuel, Nancy Ann, Jenkins, Brison, Ningum (Ning), Burl and Charles.

And the Holloway Prater who bit off the ear of John Dillard in Laurens Co,
SC was b 23 Jan 1777, Laurens Co, SC; d 28 Nov 1846, Fayette Co, Il; m abt
1798, Laurens Co, Anna Adair, b 1 May 1776, SC; d 30 Aug 1846; Fayette Co,
Il. He is the one who was known as "Tennessee Holly" Prater and later went
on to become a Baptist minister!
