From some previous letters:
The "Soldier's Home" is now just called the VA Center and is located on the corner of Gettysburg and West Third Street in Dayton. There is a huge veteran's cemetery there too.
The "Old Soldier's Home" is no longer there. It has been replaced by the Dayton VA Medical Center. The National Cemetery is still there on the grounds.

Here you can get addresses and phone numbers for what ever info you are looking for. If you want info on the history of the "Old Soldiers Home" or the VA Medical Center history, call (937) 268-6511 this is customer service. Ask for extension 2115 this will get you the VA Historian, Karen Duhart. She will help you out with your questions on the Old Soldier's Home/Dayton VAMC history.
