Hello S. Holzl,
Try the church secretary and if she doesn't know then ask that your request be forwarded on to the Clerk of Session. He or she should have a list of baptisms in the church record books. A copy of the certificate itself may or may not be found. Ministers usually don't know much about the history of the church they are serving. They are more interested in accomplishing something today. Many are not even too helpful in providing information to be recorded. The focal point for recording info is the Clerk of Session, at least the way I understand it.

Can someone tell me how to get a copy of a baptismal
certificate? I would like to obtain my father's. He was
baptized in the Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, Bronx, NY,
in 1923. I contacted the minister a while back, but he didn't
know anything about the old records for the church.
Thanks
S. Holzl
