Hello all,

I wish to publicly thank the many who suggested that the location Grossen
Griewitz was actually the location Gross Gievitz in Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
I received the parish records for Gross Gievitz on Monday at the Family
History Library and identified the baptism record for my
great-great-grandfather, Friedrich Carl Buhr, from 1846. The Buhr family
moved into that parish about 1818 and my next step is the 1819 census. I
also found the death records for my 4th great-grandparents, Johann
Friedrich Buhr and Friedrike geb. Khn and it lists their place of birth
as well. So I am back to about 1778 so far and moving very fast. More
microfilms will be ordered next week.

Keith Kaszubik
