Karl & anyone else,
I have been in so many web sites for Isles of Usedom my eyeballs are
about to fall out. They all seam like some place you want to vac at but
most of them are in german so I don't know what they are about. I am
looking for a list to join and history of the early to mid 1800's.
Also I can find all kinds of search engines but not WebFerret and I know
I have seen it before.
The surname I am looking for ( my maiden name VOLBRUCK ) In my great
grandmothers bible it is Folbrück, Rudolph, Albert & Frederick. They
came to port of NY 1866, 1867, &1868. That info from there first papers
they never did finish there naturalization. Any way haven't been able to
find anymore. Frederick is the father of Albert & Rudolph. Albert is my
Great grandfather.
I don't have any ideal where they left germany from. All I know for sure
is on a paper we found Albert was baptize Liopteshagen the 20 est of
March 1839
the birthday is the 6st of March at 8 O'clock
Albert was married in Albert Lea, MN and on there it says Usedom,
Prussia.
Can anyone tell me how or where to start looking? First time I have ever
tryed the german research
Thank for any help getting started.
