Can anyone explain how I could learn something about
Gut Froedenau (W. Prussia, 1879) such as who was the
owner and how many people lived there? My GOLASCHEWSKI
ancestors lived here in 1879 and seem to have been in-
volved in managing the sheep. Was a 'gut' a large farm
which was owned by a wealthy family and worked by peasants?
I would be grateful to learn anything about this lifestyle.
