Was wondering if anyone in the Puget Sound area could give me any info
regarding the reservation in that area in the l876 (and up) era.
Records indicate that the members were uprooted and sent south of
Cottage Grove, Oregon and that some were taken in later by the Catholic
schools at one time or another. Would this be a Grand Ronde connection?
What major tribe would be connected? Chief Joseph's people?

My grandmother was found in an encampment south of Cottage Grove
(Calapooya?) when she was a young irl and subsequently taken in by the
Catholic girls school in Vancouver.

Was a record made of the peoples that were moved from Puget Sound area
to Oregon?
