Hi list,
I'm interested in the surnames TUPY, KRUCEK, NOVOTNY, ZACAHAR/ZACHAR
and MZIK.
Frank TUPY married Mary NOVOTNY in Bohemia and came to America in 1854.
Their first child Matthias was born in Hradek in 1845/46. Children were:
Matthias, Mary, Jacob/James, Rosa, Anna, Frank, and Charles.
The KRUCEK family came to America in 1853. Tomas/Thomas was married
before 1831 to Catherine/Chaterine(?). It is assumed that Catherine died
soon after coming to America and Thomas remarried to Mary ZACHAR/ZACAHAR
around 1860. Children of Tomas and these 2 wives were: Franz,
John/Johann, James/Wenzl, Thomas, Anna, baby, Barbara, Elizabeth,
Joseph, Mary, and Katerina. The first 6 born in Bohemia with mother
listed as Catherine, the last 5 born in America with mother listed as
Mary. The first was born in 1831 and the last in 1868. They embarked
from Bremen, all passengers listed as coming from
Germany on the Barque Hansa arriving in New York December 13, 1853.
Although, we do believe that they were from Bohemia also.
Is anyone else interested in these families?
Thanks,
Laurie
