FENNER

Looking for any information on the Gartmann family. They originated from the area south of Danzig (now Gdnask) in the Marienburg area. They left the area approximately 1830s - 1840s, forced to flee due to a revolution or war. They fled to the area of East Prussia near Stettin where they found passage to America in 1853 aboard a privateer's ship. Names include:
Christian Frederick Gartmann, August his brother and their parents. Another brother Fritz remained in Germany, moving to Bohemia then a part of Austria and Bavaria) and August and their parents.

Christian's wife was Marie Louise Ulrich and they had approximately 8 children, one George August Gartmann who married Julianne Henrietta Fenner from Tamkow. The Fenners were also from the Danzig region and forced to flee during the revolt. Julianne's father was Christian Fenner.

Any information on these names is appreciated.
