Tina, Jim,Noreen,Catherine and PD, Thank you all for answering my plea.
The consensus seems to be that the name is Florian. According to old
notes a relative once said there was a Florian in this family, but I cannot
find any proof. The 1920 census saysthere were 6 children. I have the
baptismal records for 3 of them. The ones unaccounted for are Wanda,
Sophie ,Joseph and Lawrence. On the Baptismal page the Flovanius was
indeed born May 4th and baptised on the 12th.of1912. According to the
1920 census Wanda was born1911 and Lawrence on 1913 . It just
dawned on me (Duh) that Florian, born in 1912 ,must not have made it to
the 1920 census! I think my next move would be to check the family plots
at the cemetery &/or look for a death cert. The baptismal records were
at St.Mary Czestochowa .I am so grateful to Margaret Haley who found
them- I was just seeking a census-and would never have thought to look
at this particular church. Thanks to everyone again. Jerri
