If your ancestors changed their surname to be as similar as possible, I
would expect their original surname to be L~ukasz or L~ukasz followed by a
typical Polish surname ending like L~ukasiewicz or L~ukaski. Catherine is
Katarzyna in Poland. I don't think there is a genuine equivalent to the
English Raymon or Raymond in Polish but the name Roman is used in Polish so
it might have been the nearest sounding.
