Hi Chris

I can tell you how we are doing so far with the indexing of the Lviv
Microfilms. We have received 100 films for indexing. They are up to the
Ukrainian letter K. We are slowly reading through the films, inputting the
information on the special UDE program which the LDS has sent us by CD-ROM,
and then we send them to a site in Saskatchewan. From there they are going
to Salt Lake City.

Don't know what happens after the information leaves us - whether they are
added to the LDS website or whether someone else double checks our
information.

The Toronto Ukrainian Genealogy Group is looking for volunteers to help
index these films. They have been sitting at Salt Lake City since 1985
without being indexed. Knowledge of some Ukrainian, Polish and Latin would
be helpful, as these 3 languages are interchangeable on the films.
