Hello Tina and Poland List Members..
Thank you again Tina. I have done some of that on the German surrender on the net, however, as everyone probably knows, there is so much information that it is almost overwhelming. So I will try your suggestions.
I did not expect such good advice on the second day after I joined this Poland list. It is amazing and I am always surprised at the goodness and generous will of genealogists. I have been done genealogy for over 15 years and and never fail to be surprised. I have helped so many people throughout the years and I hoped that one day, when I needed help, someone would really help me. And it has happened.
As soon as I get my verification date on Anna Price Dory (the mother) I will contact the Red Cross. However, I know that the daughter, Maria Josefa, did die on April 25, 1945 so I am fearful that she was a casulty of WWII.
Best wishes to everyone, Aloysia

There are sites on the Internet, which give a lot of the history from that
time period. Try http://www.google.com and type in Germany surrender World
War II. Another thing you can do is type in the name of the place in
Google. Try the German and than the Polish name of it. You may find data
that way also. I just about use Google for everything. If you can read
Polish you can try this Polish search engine: http://www.szukacz.pl. If
you don't read Polish, you can copy and paste what you find into a
translator at http://www.poltran.com. It's not a perfect translator, but
you should be able to get the gist of what they are saying.
Good luck. Please keep us posted on how you do with the Red Cross.
Tina

Hello Dolores,
it should be written:
Parafia Sw. Apostolow Piotra i Pawla
88-342 Wylatowo
Polska - Poland
You may add a building number as Tina suggested:
So it may be written:
Parafia Sw. Apostolow Piotra i Pawla
88-342 Wylatowo 94
Polska - Poland
If you write the address by hand you may add Polish diacritical signs -
accents, slashes and hooks.
Happy hunting
