I don't know to which mailing list I should address this question.

Just received Canadian military record which shows this man being treated
for the "French Fever" during WWI.
I must admit I'm wondering if this was an euphemism for VD or other sexually
transmitted disease.
He was honorably discharged.

Does anyone know?
