Subject: [MONTREAL] OT - Globe article re maiden names

In Sept 20/07 edition of Globe and Mail (online) is an article "Get hitched - but keep your name!"

"Changing it is stupid. Or stupid-ridiculous, if you're a hyphenator. Conventional marriage suggests we become 'one' after that ring slides onto the finger. But we are born alone and we die alone. Love has no surname, but identity does. Keep yours for yourself

.....
NB: - there are some interesting things to learn from this article, one being to keep a record of surnames, 'cause for Gen-X they could be anything! ??Can you imagine the fun it will be in another 93 years when descendants are trying to find their ancestors who have reverted to their maiden names, or changed their names? Hah! As if the errors we find aren't difficult enough!

Cheers!
