Hello All,

I'm trying to locate any record of the birth of my
Greatgrandfather Josiah Harned b. 18 Mar 1817 Orange Co., Indiana. His
father William Harned was a member of the Lick Creek Monthly Meeting,
Orange County at that time, but I find no mention of Josiah.

Josiah had relatives that were members of the Blue River Monthly
Meeting at Washington County, Indiana. He married Judeth French ca. 1844,
but have found no record of that either.

I have looked through the Abstracts of the Records of the Society
of Friends in Indiana: Part Five: Edited by Willard Heiss and found no
mention at all of Josiah.

The last mention I have of Josiah in Indiana was Deed Book E, pg
420-422 in Office of Orange Co., Ind. Recorder, Paoli Indiana. Estate
Sale of William Harned, Josiah identified as joint owner and proprietor
dated 21 Mar 1836.

Josiah next shows up in Lawrence County, Arkansas by the time of
the birth of daughter Lydia in 1848. Any clues will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks very much.
