Re: Guidebooks to the Friends' historical collections at Swarthmore,
Guilford, Earlham, etc.
Is anyone else using the online card catalogs of Swarthmore, Guilford,
Earlham, etc., or other libraries with Friends' historical collections?
Guilford telnet -- PALS.GUILFORD.EDU.23 [login: HEGEPAC]
Earlham-- telnet -- maple.palni.edu
[login:ECNETPAC]
Swarthmore--telnet -- tripod.brynmawr.edu [login:TRIPOD]
I find the computerized card catalogs are not easy to browse if I don't
know what I am after.
Are guides to the historical collections available from these libraries? I
have yet to find any listed in the OPACs. We all ask again and again,
"Where are those old meeting records? What else is available? What is in
print? Which libraries will loan microfilm?"
If guides are available, let's put a file in the info section of this
discussion group giving titles, costs and how to order.
If permission is granted, could they be put here to be read online?
Anyone have suggestions how to make access to these wonderful collections
easier?
Hopefully,
Judy
