I'm working on a VAIL family. Does anyone else know where they lived?

Joel Vail was born 7 day 1st month 1780. He died 27th day 8th month 1829.

Joel married Katharine T. Miller. Katharine was born 30th day 11th month
1784. She died 24th day 6th month 1849.

Joel and Katharine had the following children:
1. Alexander, born 14 9 1804
2. Mary Ann, born 11 3 1807
3. Edward, born 26 9 1808
4. Christopher, born 23 8 1810
5. Thomas, born 27 3 1812
6. Pheba, born 11 1 1818
7. Catharine F. R., born 26 10 1820.
8. Benajah, born 2 8 1822
9. John, born 21 4 1827.
