Uniontown, PA in Fayette Co. was founded on July 4, 1776 by Henry Beeson (a
well-researched Quaker family). This fall, on the weekend of Oct 4,5, and
6. Uniontown, PA will be celebrating its bi-centennial. This should be a
memorial weekend for all genealogists who descend from families, both Quaker
and otherwise, who lived in this area of the country. I have no further
information at this time, but suggest interested parties contact either the
Uniontown, PA library (the Pennsylvania Room) or the Chamber of Commerce in
Uniontown.
