As several people have pointed out, scanned documents can take up an enormous
amount of disk space. I think Mary has the right idea, to convert it to
text rather than have an exact replica of the document. (Unless we have a
techie out there that has another option that would allow us to capture the
original document as is with a minimum of space, and allow it to load quickly
in our browser.)

Let's plan to approach it this way, with a clear reference to the original
source document and who possesses it.
