Subject: HOOVERS-QUAKERS?

I am very new to this list and fairly new to genealogy (only searching
for 2 years) and I have been told that my family, the Hoover's, may have
been Quakers. How can I find out? The earliest one I have is Lewis
Hoover b. either in PA or OH ca. 1805-10. He married a woman named Mary
(last name unknown). They had 2 children. Susan b. 1835 and William b.
ca 1838. Their last known place of residence as a family unit was in
1850 census in Pickaway Co OHIO. In the 1860 census it only lists Mary
Hoover living in one household while her daughter having married William
Foreaker living a few houses away. Any help would be appreciated.
