I am seeking information on the parents of Susannah (Sarah Ann?) WOODLEY
born in PA in 1821. After her birth, her mother re-married Samuel ELLIS and
emmigrated to Newmarket, ON before 1837. Many of the Quaker immigrants to
this area were from Bucks Co.PA. Any information that would lead to
uncovering the marriage record, the mother's name and birth record for
Susannah would be appreciated.

Susannah married Elijah Winn (son of Jacob WINN and Ruth TAFT) in 1840 and
moved to Whiteside, IL where their children William Penn WINN (1841?) and
Mary Adelaide WINN (1849)were born. I believe there was a Quaker meeting in
Whiteside. Does anyone know where the records are stored?

I have much information on the WINN family (of ON, VT and MA) who are
related to both Herbert HOOVER and Richard NIXON through a common
(non-Quaker) ancestor. I would like help in tracing the lineage of Elijah
WINN'S mother, Ruth TAFT who was born in 1776 (in VT?) to Levi TAFT and Mary
COOK.
