Greetings all,
I am seeking the assistance of someone who is available for hire to do some
research on a Quaker family that resided in the Philadelphia area late1600s -
early 1700s. The family name is KITE. I am looking for a Richard KITE bc.
1730-40, wife Eleanor ___? , and son Isaac KITE bc. 1761-1770. This family
shows up in what is now East Tennessee by 1786.
There was an Isaac KITE family in the Philadelphia area (Quakers) in the late
1600s - early 1700s. I have not seen Richard identified as part of that
group but was wondering if perhaps Richard named his only son after his
father. I understand that was commonly done back then. I have been
unsuccessful in locating Richard anywhere prior to his appearance in E TN.
Trying determine his parents and also locate a marriage record for Richard
and Eleanor. He has stumped me for years. Any help would be much
appreciated. Best regards, Greg Kyte Columbia, SC
