" I know that the Quakers were opposed to Slavery. Does anyone know how they
felt about Indentured Servitude? Would a Quaker have been likely to have an

Prior to emigrating to Philadelphia in 1686, my ancestor, John Michener, was
a bondsman in the home of William Penn. He was married at Penn's home in
Worminghurst in 1686. The marriage certificate lists "Will Penn, Jr." and
Guglielma Penn" as witnesses. I hope this helps!
