A book I have found useful is "Our Quaker Ancestors", finding them in Quaker
Records by Ellen Thomas Berry & David Allen Berry, GPC, $17.50. The inside
cover is a map of Westward Migration routes and inside the back cover is a
"Family Tree" of American yearly meetings. The chapters cover such things as
"Background and History of The Religious Society of Friends", "Organization
of The Religious Society of Friends", "Patters of Migration and Expansion",
"Contents of Monthly Meeting Records", "Locating and Searching Monthly
Meeting Records", "Quaker Records and Some Possible Problems", "Quaker
Repositories for Records", "Historical Societies and Libraries with Quaker
Material", "Quaker Records Outside the U.S.", "Other Non-Quaker Sources for
Records", "Pleasures and Frustrations", etc. It is 136 pages long and I
think it is a great little book for the price.
By the way, I don't get a commission!
