Subject: which PETER COFFIN?

Our ancestor MARGARET COFFIN (ca.1690), wife of JOHN DAVIS (1692),
is said to be the the daughter of a PETER COFFIN. There are three
Peters of the same age, one of whom we presume is Margaret's dad:

1. Peter Coffin "Jr."(ca.16600, son of Peter COFFIN (1631) &
Abigial STARBUCK. Peter Jr. married Elizabeth STARBUCK
(b.1665) in 1682; her parents were Nathaniel STARBUCK (1635)
& Mary COFFIN. (Hmm...)

2. Peter Coffin (b.1667), son of Tristram COFFIN Jr.(1632) &
Judith GREENLEAF. Wife's & children's names unknown.

3. Peter "Nope" Coffin (b.1671, Nantucket), son of John COFFIN
(1647) & Deborah AUSTIN (1651). He married Christian CONDE.
[If this Peter is correct, then his grandson THOMAS I. DAVIS
& wife HEPZIBAH MACY were 1st cousins once removed -- because
Hepzibah was the graddau. of John COFFIN & Deborah AUSTIN.]

Only child shown for Peter "Nope" is a son BARTLETT COFFIN.
