I heard from an elderly Bishop cousin here in Missouri a number of
years ago... that he was told by family members many years earlier...
that some of the Bishop family moved on down to the Carolinas... about
the same time that our Bishop family also came to Mongomery County,
Missouri, from Albemarle County, Virginia, in 1835... do you have a
clue as to where such Bishops might have moved into the Carolinas?...
would this most likely have been North Carolina from Virginia?... what
would have the likely counties in NC been?... maybe I ought to check
the NC WebGen site?... :-)... have you bumped into any Bishop
ancestors or information in your NC work?...
