Seth and/or BJ!
Hi - how interesting - actually, a lot of the dates, etc. dovetail nicely --
the differences are most interesting. The primary records for the
information I posted earlier are from a thesis for a doctorate housed at the
Quaker Record Repository at Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio.
I have searched through all the Ohio information I have, and cannot find a
reference for Duck Creek, OH either - I haven't exhausted all my possibilities
yet, and you have certianly peaked my interest! I shall perservere, and
report any positive results!
At the end of one document, the following:
"It was thus that Quakers migrated and etablished their own simple
communities amid towering forest and bubbling springs. Here, too, they
found many ways to follow God's will as they helped the frustrated Indian
and the fleeing Negro slave. God gives to the listening heart continueal ways
to make a better world."
