Hi, I'm relatively new to the list and have never attempted an inquiry
before. But...I find many others seem to be searching for the same
families.

One of my major frustrations over many years has been trying to find
information about my Atkinson line. My gggrndfather was John Atkinson
who married Mary Woody. Their marriage took place at Cane Creek Meeting
in NC. I have found a reference to John's father, Thomas Atkinson who
married Ruth Cruze of Chester Co. Pa. Thomas's father is, I'm told Henry
who married Ann ??. I have been unable to link this to the New England
branch of Atkinsons. When I had the opportunity to visit York Eng I
found in their research library, reference to John Atkinson who sailed
for the new world, arrived Philly and was heard from no more. Any
suggestions as to where I should begin looking or even how would be
greatly appreciated. I feel as though this is the biggest brick wall
I've ever hit.

To make things more amusing, when my husband and I moved to Mass., I
read in our town's history of a John Atkinson who lived in Atkinson
Hollow and married Mary Wood. Confusing. The dates aren't right and he
doesn't seem to connect anywhere!
