Jim, I so agree with you. LDS secondary records are helpful, but should be
verified. And I have indeed found exactly the errors you describe on death
cerificates. One that comes to mind contained information given by a son-in-
law. He didn't know his mother-in-law's exact birth date, nor her parent's
names. Let the researcher beware!
