Joan...I found this will and even though it is NOT the answer to your
question, Re Elizabeth (Hancock?) Pimm, I thought you might find it of
interest...

1728-9 Feb. 3. Hancock, John, of Euesham, Burlington Co., yeoman; will of.
Wife Mary. Children--Joseph, Susannah, Sarah, Elizabeth, all under age. Real
and personal estate. Executors--the wife and Thomas Middleton.
Witnesses--Joseph Heritage, junior, William Price, Joseph Heritage. Proved
March 3, 1728-9, Thomas Middleton refusing to act as executor.

1728-9 Feb. 27. Inventory of the personal estate, 80.18, incl. a "Libruary"
of books 5s; made by Thomas Hooten and Joseph Heritage.

Regarding Pimm:
Haddonfield MM...
9th mo, 1st da, 1723. John Pimm of Abington, son of John and Elizabeth Pimm
of Nottinghamshire and Lydia Briggs, dau of John and Sarah (Briggs).

(Note: I carefully copied both of the above...Evesham in the will is spelled
Eu...and Lydia Briggs parents are listed as above)

I checked all MALE Hancock entries from the Early Church Records of Gloucester
County and found the following:

4th mo, 8th da, 1719...John Hancock s/o Timothy & Susannah (Ives) Hancock and
Mary Gurnell, late of Europe.
5th mo, 11th da, 1737...Andrew Griscom, son of Tobias and Deborah (Gabitas)
Griscom and Susannah Hancock, dau of John and Mary (Gurnell) Hancock
2nd mo, 9th da, 1744...James Debzel [Delzel] and Elizabeth Hancock, dau of
John and Mary (Gurnell) Hancock

"Going out in Marriage"
1st mo. 1731. George Matlack and Mary Burnell, widow of John Hancock.

Children of Timothy Hancock: Elizabeth Hancock, b. 16th da, 1st mo. 1686;
Mary Hancock, b. 11th da, 1st mo, 1688; Sarah Hancock, b. 3rd da, 11th mo,
1689; Ann Hancock, b. 30th da, 7th mo, 1691; John Hancock, b. 30th da, 4th mo,
1693; Hannah Hancock, b. 14th da, 4th mo. 1695.

Emanuel Straten ofEvesham, son of William Straten of Stratford on Avon,
England and Hannah Hancock, dau of Timothy and Rachel (Simon) Hancock, m. at
Evesham 9th mo, 25th da, 1703.

Robert Braddock of Burlington Co., and Elizabeth Hancock of the same, dau of
Timothy and Rachel (Firman) Hancock, having consent of their parents, m. at
Evesham 9th mo, 17th da, 1709.

Thomas Smith of Evesham, son of Thomas and Joyce Smith and Sarah Hancock, dau
of Timothy and Rachel (Firman) hancock, having consent of their parents, m. at
Evesham 2nd mo, 4th da, 1711.

New Jersey Marriages 1665-1800 had no male Hancock to female Pimm marriages.

(I did not search Volumes 1 & 2 of Early Burlington County Church Records
because I gathered from our conversation of yesterday that you owned them.
Volume 3 yielded one Sarah Pimm and nothing else...Sarah Pimm m. George
Elkington 2/18/1748.)

hmmm.....page 123 indicates Elizabeth Hancock bapt. May 10, 1710 under Records
of St. Ann's Church (St. Mary's). Maybe those Church records would hold some
interest for you in looking for any Elizabeth Hancock of a later date...

I'm off to Spruance to go White, Bye and Marriott (Merritt) hunting...have a
fabulous day.
