Mary Ann,

Which Kerlins are you researching? I've been trying to find the parents
of my gggg-grandmother, Magdalen Kerlin b. c. 1725, m. 1745 to Thomas
Ellis Jr. I believe she was dt. of Matthias Kerlin of Chester Co., as
his branch seemed to have joined Quakers, but perhaps not until 1750.
There are several Kerlin researchers, and I've had good help from them.
But I have not found which of the Kerlin brothers was father of Magdalen
Magdalen and Thomas Ellis moved to VA. (TN New Hope MM) before 1787 when
their dt. Elizabeth m. John Lee at Exeter MM, Berks Co.
It seems that the sons of Peter Kerlin (Keurlis) of Germantown
scattered into several different areas surrounding Philadelphia.
Several were gun-makers, and associated with the Potts family.
Look for a Kerlin page, or try to get in contact with Harry Ebeling or
Russ Kerlin.()

Harry has done a great deal of research on the family.
Good Luck.

Miriam
