Subject: Another dumb question from Ruth in NC

Can someone help me again - please?? Were Quakers and Mormons the same
religion? Did Mormon religion evolve from the Quaker religion? I keep saying
I'm not related to any Quakers, which our family was not, but my g.uncle (who
passed away many years ago) moved to SLC and married a lady there who was a
Mormon - he got some kind of authorization to minister in their church -their
children were born there and when they came back to live in OH, they had
nothing to do with our family because they had converted and did not believe
in the drinking of coffee, tea, smoking cigarettes, dancing. I know I was told
when my g.uncle passed away, at the wake he was dressed in all white with a
veil (sort of like a wedding dress and veil) and his wife said that when she
went to heaven, she would lift the veil and they would know each other, and be
as one again. However she has since remarried to a non - Mormon. Is there a
Mormon site I should post this question?
