Ruth:

Quakerism and Mormonism are two separate, distinct religions, not related
in any way. There is almost a 200 year difference in when each religion was
founded, I believe (wasn't Quakerism founded in the 1650's or
thereabouts?).

There were some Quakers who became Mormons (descendants of Peter "The
Quaker" Stout comes to mind because he is my husband's 5th gg grandfather
or thereabouts. However, Quakers also became Methodists, Presbyterians,
and many other religions as time went by.

I know there are others on this list who know much more about Quaker
history than I do, they can supply answers on Quakerism. I can help with
the Mormonism. I will look through my bookmarks for Internet sites for the
Mormons and get back to you if you are interested still.
