I have purchased Broderbund's Family Archive disk that includes the
Hinshaw books. I have windows 3.1 and don't use Family Tree Maker. My
use of the Family Archive disks is therefore limited to using them with
the Family Viewer (I think that's what they call it) version 4. When
into the data of the Hinshaw disk (and I would assume it is the same
with the other disks) -- there is a 'button' at the lower left of the
screen to past to clipboard (it does not indicate if it will paste just
the small part being viewed or the whole page). I tried pressing this
'button' and then retrieving the data into notepad and into WordPerfect.
Neither gave me anything that I could see (in WordPerfect it changed the
margins such that there was apparently something there, but it was
invisible). I also tried to block with the mouse so I could use the edit
function to copy and then paste. It would not block the text.
What am I doing wrong? Has someone else had this same experience and
solved the problem?
Thanks for any help,
