According to Tom Hill's _Monthly Meetings in North America: A Quaker
Index_ (I
have the 1993 second edition) Green Plain MM was founded in 1821 and
was
located near South Charleston, Clark County, Ohio. It went through two
splits. The Orthodox branch was laid down in 1987. The Corgregational
branch
was laid down about 1860. The Hicksite branch is now dormant; Hill
gives no
date for the last meeting, but it appears it was active as recently at
1949,
when it was the parent meeting for the new MM in Yellow Springs.
