Hi All:

Well I finally got to visit this place on Friday and I sure was glad I went.
Did you realize that they have a very extensive clipping file and it was full
of my Lobb Family. I found names, dates, and families that I didn't have.

The lovely lady behind the desk was very helpful in bringing things from the
vault for me to use. She found a file on Darby MM where my Lobbs attended.
The file contained a ledger of meeting notes but the most surprising thing in
this ledger was a copy of the letter that George and Alice Maris brought with
them from England. I thought initially that I had found the original letter
since it was written on entirely different paper then the journal and
appeared to be added to it at some point in time. I had them photocopy both
pages for me and after studying it further deceided that it had been copied
by someone as all the signatures at the end were the same handwriting.

It does appear to have been copied in it's entirety. It was a real find and
since George and Alice were supposed to have presented their indtroductery
letter at Springfield, I was totally surprised to find it in Darby MM
information.

I hope somebody will check this piece out and see what you think of the
letter. I will work on transcribing it and put it on line when I figure out
all the words.
