Does anyone have access to Piney Woods MM actual records?
I have an ancestor who married contrary to discipline. What exactly did
this mean in Piney Woods? Did it mean he married another Quaker without
proper permission and clearance, or did it mean that he was married by
justice of the peace in Gates Co.(which he did do), or both, or was he
married before to a Sarah Chappell which is recorded in Hamilton Co.,
Indiana MM records and not in Hinshaw's abstract?
I have Hinshaw's on CD and have read the extract, but would like to read
the actual entry in the minutes. Where can I find the actual entry for
Piney Woods MM 1847, 3, 6,? Jacob Perry son of Reuben Perry and Sarah
Lamb.
