Carole,

Not sure about the others, but I do not collect names so that my program
looks full. My family are more than hard to pinpoint and have had to go via
the spousal lines just to get some little tidbit on them. And as I have a
connection to the new family I do put it into my program. I have no
children to leave my research to, so it will go to some genealogical society
and I want it to be as complete as is possible for who ever may read it in
the far future. The Quakers were very 'in faith' minded, and so that is the
reason that there are so many inter-marriages among a so limited community.
If going into Quaker research, you find one Quaker you can bet your bottom
dollar that you will end up with a slew of them. When they decided to
migrate to other portions of the country, they usually migrated in groups so
the same families moved together over and over again. Some of my family
migrated from Pennsylvania to North & South Carolina then to Ohio, then to
Indiana and then all points west. Some just went from eastern Pennsylvania
to western then to Ohio (where they meet up with the N & S Carolina bunch)
then to Indiana, and then again all points west. Those of us who have
Quaker ancesters are very poud of them for there way of life and all that
they have contributed to the making of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, for the
trials and tribulations they encountered, both here in the states and in
there countries of origin. That is a major reason why some of us have
thousands of names in our genealogy programs - and as for me I know each and
everyone of my ancestors, and will say it again I AM VERY PROUD OF MY QUIET
PEOPLE. (Although it would have been nice if my family had been just a
little more forthright in having there names mentioned).

Carole, I do hope that this may answer some of your questions. I probably
could have answered this with one word PRIDE.
