Raymond:
I have all of Mordecai's group sheet. He is my Great Grandfather for
whom my father & I hunted for grave at Salida all the time. This last trip
I got more aggressive. With copy of death certificate in hand found the
cemetery (Cleora) . The town of Cleora has been merged and incorporated
with Salida. Found out the cemetery itself had been moved once already.
Very few grave stone many Wooden head markers. Lots of heaps. It was
walked either in 60's or 70's. But many names not on the list. So, I
brought a stone back, and may put this into a marker next to Charity's at
Burr Oak Cemetery in Kansas. Believe that he was dis for hitting someone.
He was the blacksmith in North Branch, KS Jewell County. Quite a
character. John Dillon's father still living in North Branch remembers when
the kids were told not to go stepping in the puddles or they would come out
looking like "Mordekey" Kellum. It was the group sheet on Nathan &
Charity I need. I bet that Dean does have it and probably you too.
Thanks. Mordecai died the year my Dad was born, but was back to blacksmith
shop area many times during his early years. Mordecai, his son George and
another Kellum went to Cripple Creek area and were gold assayers. I have
not been able to find too much on that either. Went to Denver Historical
Library got a few articles. But I think the Kellum/Kellam mentioned were
all Legal Attorneys It is like the last vestiges of our pioneers. They
actually had a very nice area compared to some of the soddies that my other
grandparents had 100 miles or so due west of Jewell County.

Now I can just e-mail Dean my data. When I first contacted him I was not on
the net. How deep into descendants to you retain files? Would you like
the groups sheets of these people and others, myself
luded? ----offering like I had nothing else to do. Tomorrow I have to
copy Crary History off for Violet Guy & son Jeff.

I should be putting tuck pointing on our basement wall instead of
wording away here.
Have to go it is senior citizen % off at the grocery store today.
