I would like to connect with others researching my maternal, 4great
grandfather Joseph Vernon, Sr. As he served in the American Revolution
as an Ensign, he had to leave the Quaker Church. I am seeking his
parents and ancestors within/without the Quaker connection. He was born
1746 in Pa, married a woman named Sarah ( b. about 1760 in PA) about
1779 possibly in Chester Co., PA Sarah died 9 May 1839 in Perry Twp.,
Muskingum Co., OH. Jospeh died 26 December 1834 in Perry Twp. Muskingum
Co., Pa. Are he or Sarah in any of your databases? Hw was one of the
earliest settlers of Washington Twp, Muskingum Co arriving in Ohio in
1805 with Sarah and their 12 children from Greene Co., Pa. Before that
he had been in Delaware Co., Pa in 1790. Thankjs in advance for your
help in this matter. Margaret Shank ( Arvada, CO)
