Hi Peggy,

Your family above appears in both the FamilySearch and the Gendex
records, and I have stuff that neither of them have.

1. William David Vestal b. 13 Aug 1795 at Cane Creek, Chatham Co, NC
the son of William Vestal and Mary Wheeler. William was the son of
Thomas Vestal and Elizabeth Davis. Mary was the dt of John Wheeler
and Sarah M. Hayworth. William and Mary had 8 children including
your William. They were: Thomas, John, William, David, Solomon,
Mary, Alfred, and Zimri. (You might want to check further and see
if William and David were two people or only one.)

2. The parents of Elizabeth were Joshua Newby and Rachel Nixon.
Joshua was b. 3/15/1767 in Randolph Co, NC. They married 21 Dec 1789
at Center MM, Guilford Co, NC. This family was posted by me earlier
this evening to the list in reply to another request. Elizabeth was
born 3/24/1799 in Randolph Co, NC, and married 6 Oct 1819 to William
David Vestal, b. 1795 and d. 1877.

3. The parents of Joshua Newby were William Newby and Elizabeth Ratcliff.
The parents of Rachel Nixon appear to be Pierce Nixon and Penninah
Smith. (This should be checked further.)
The parents of William Newby were Sanuel Newby and Elizabeth Sanders.
The parents of Samuel Newby were Gabriel Newby and Mary Toms (Tomes).
The parents of Gabriel Newby were William Newby and Isabel.
The parents of William Newby were Ralph Newby and Dorothy Hinchley.
The father of Ralph Newby was William Newby.
