Johanna CHASE, a widow, married William BROWN and had a son David in the
Oblong, Dutchess Co., New York in 1763. I believe Johanna was married to a
Quaker CHASE but have no first name. Her daughter Susannah CHASE married
John HOWLAND, both of Pawling, in 1774.

Does anyone have any record of a CHASE in this area having died and left a
widow, Johanna?
