On your Website, I have found my g-grandmother,
Elvira (MENDENHALL a disowned Quaker for marrying Hiram C. MOORE, who later
became a Lay Preacher of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Harrison Co., IA.
The widowed Elvira and her 4 son were Pioneers to Wasco County, Oregon. The
first to migrate from Harrison Co., IA was her son, my grandfather, James
Whitcomb MOORE, wife Orrie Emily GREENE with their infant son, Orrin Whitney
MOORE in 1877. I grew-up on Elvira's homestead,which my father, Orrin,
owned and farmed along with the land owned by his father. I presently live
in the midwest and winter in Arizona.

My MENDENHALL line of descent is Thomas>John>Aaron>James (+2nd, Hannah
Thomas)>Elijah>James W>Himelius>Elvira m. Hiram C. Moore, etc.

> Hi,
> I'm new to the list, but not new to genealogy. Suddenly it seems that
many of my ancestors were Quakers, so I decided to join the list to see if I
can make some progress on finding them.
> Our FHC has Vol 1 - 6 of the Hinshaw collection. I have heard of a Vol 7
which was compiled by Willard Heiss.
> I have also read that the Hinshaw books are available on CD-ROM.
> Can anyone enlighten me? Does anyone have access to VOl. 7? Know how to
find the collection on CD?
> My family names include CAR(e)Y, BENBOW, MOON, MENDENHALL, BEESON,
PEARSON, SHAW, etc. Names are posted at www.my-ged.com in the miller3
GEDCOM.
> Any clues will be gratefully received!!!
