I think the double listing of children's names in the ancestor files is
because of corrections. The old information is not removed. Instead a new
'fixed' child in added to the family. That way people can look at both, do
their own research, and decide what to believe.

Also it seems to have been pretty common for a name to be reused if a child
died.
