I don't keep any of my ged files in the FTM directories, but in other family
related files with much more. This way if I have trouble with FTM, I don't
run the risk of losing them. Remember your data is kept in separate files,
which are separate from the program itself. I also have everything of
importance on family 3.5" discs as well.
